HRC-Z promotes awareness on ending violence against women and girls in Chipata

Chipata, 12th November 2025 —In response to growing concerns about teen pregnancies and sexual abuse in Eastern Province, the Human Rights Commission of Zambia (HRC-Z) Provincial Office in Chipata featured on a radio programme on Feel Free FM discussing children’s rights and gender-based violence related issues.

The radio discussion was aimed at raising public awareness about the importance of respecting the rights of women and girls and served as a build-up activity towards the commemoration of the 2025 Sixteen Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, which will be held from 25th November to 10th December under the global theme: “Unite to End Digital Violence Against Women and Girls.”
