The Human Rights Commission, through its Chinsali Office, has sensitised members of the public on human rights during the Vinkhakanimba Traditional Ceremony of the Tumbuka people, held in Mafinga District, Muchinga Province, on 28 August 2026.

Commission officers engaged participants on the importance of respecting and protecting human rights, reporting violations, and the role of communities in promoting human rights.

The Commission also distributed Information, Education and Communication materials on human rights and its mandate to members of the public attending the ceremony.

The activity provided the Commission with an opportunity to use a traditional gathering to reach a wider audience with human rights information.
